Important Update for Our US Customers

Starting August 29, 2025, the United States will end the $800 de minimis exemption.
Until now, shipments valued under $800 could enter the US without tariffs or full customs clearance. After this change, all packages—no matter the value—will go through full customs procedures and may be subject to import charges.

This will also affect the way we handle orders and ship them to the USA.

What Will Change

  • From August 29, 2025, all orders must be shipped using FedEx DDP (Delivery Duties Paid).

  • With DDP, we (the sender) handle all customs costs in advance, so you don’t receive surprise invoices later.

  • These customs costs will be added to your delivery charge. Since the costs depend on the value of the hat blocks you order, we’ll calculate them for each order individually.

What’s Included in “DDP Costs”

When we calculate DDP shipping for you, it covers:

    • FedEx Economy delivery – message us if you would prefer to pay more for Fedex Priority

    • Import duties/tariffs

    • FedEx brokerage fees

    • Local taxes in our country

    • Transaction fees charged by PayPal or Stripe

Example Costs

We know it’s stressful to place an order without knowing the final cost. To make things clearer, here are some estimated examples of total DDP delivery costs (shipping costs + customs included):

How to Place an Order

Since each order needs a custom shipping quote, please email us at hello@easyhatblocks.com with:

  • Which hat blocks you’d like

  • Sizes and details (string groove, presser, etc.)

  • Your delivery address

  • Preferred payment method (PayPal or card via Stripe)

  • Discount code – if you are planing to use one

We’ll then calculate your total—including shipping with customs costs—before you confirm your order.

What If Tariffs Change Again?

Tariffs can sometimes shift unexpectedly. If they increase after you’ve placed your order, you’ll have two options:

  • Pay the difference, or

  • Cancel your order (if it has not yet shipped).

If tariffs are lowered (we’re all hoping for this!), we’ll happily refund the difference—as long as your order hasn’t shipped yet.
