Saucer Fascinator Hat Block – EVELYN

This is a slightly oval saucer fascinator hat block. The block has a slightly up turned brim on one side and a bump flaring out to the other side. The size of the hat block is 30 x 29cm (11.8 x 11.4″), circumference 94cm ( 37″).

Saucer fascinators and perchers hats have become very popular recently. These large, beautiful fascinators are usually worn on one side of the head, but can also be placed in the center.

PRESSER

You can purchase this hat block with or without a presser.

The presser is meant to be used for creating the dimple for this lovely saucer hat shape. You can use it also as a separate piece to block a pillbox style base, you can mount the saucer hat on this base.

This hat block is made from lime tree. This is a local tree that is widely spread in Northern Europe. It is a soft wood with low density and thus easy to pin.
